We have just read a story of someone in NZ who has dealt with their redundancy in a unique way.
We don't know the details of why they were let go, but we do know how they did it.
Rather than allow the company to make them feel a victim of the process, they ensured they owned the situation but in a way that also ensured the company letting them go was the one who felt awkward.
It all started when the individual in question was told they were being let go and informed they could bring someone to the meeting for support.
Who did they bring?
A partner?
A parent?
A colleague?
A lawyer?
Nope ... a clown.
